Leland W. K. Chung, Ph.D.
Professor of Urology and Biochemistry Dr. Chung joined the Emory Department of Urology from the University of Virginia Department of Urology and Department of Cell Biology. Dr. Chung was formerly the Director of Genitourinary Cancer Research at M.D. Anderson. His areas of research include tumor and microenvironmental interaction that dictates cancer growth and progression, and the novel genetic and molecular targeting strategies for the treatment of localized and disseminated prostate cancer. He is one of the three most cited basic scientists in prostate cancer research in the world. In addition, Dr. Chung is a Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Scientist.
