Haiyen E. Zhau, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Molecular Urology and Therapeutics Program, Department of Urology
Emory University

Dr. Zhau has developed a program with focus on elucidating the functional role of androgen-receptor during androgen-independent prostate cancer progression. Interaction between androgen-receptor and other transcription factors, such as NF-KB, estrogen receptors, and cytokine mediated signaling cascade are evaluated in aggressive human prostate cancer cell lines. Therapeutic targeting of these various pathways and their implication in reducing prostate cancer colonization in the bone will be especially emphasized.
